About me
Hello everyone,
Welcome, I’m Junk Jodie, an award-winning visual artist, crafter, performer, storyteller, environmentalist and workshop leader.
I offer arts and craft workshops/parties around any theme and I use recycled materials to spread the message about the climate emergency. I encourage families to reduce, reuse, recycle and take care of our planet. I also offer workshops in storytelling and well-being with a focus on mindfulness and positive mental health for children.
In 2021 I won Destination Basingstoke’s Arts and Entertainment Award for online services to young people in Basingstoke and Deane, during the pandemic. My YouTube channel is a resource for anyone to use. It has been used by schools, families and arts organisations to inspire the next generation of creative environmentalists.

Join Junk Jodie, in a storytelling adventure!
Meet Beverly Butterfly and become Rainbow-LICIOUS through mindfulness! Dive into the water and make a splash with Wanda Whale to learn how to take care of the marine life and become Sea-Tacular! Gallop into the woodlands and meet Dexter Deer to take care of wildlife and become a Wild-ERFUL WARRIOR!
Each show is interactive and designed to inspire young people to make toys from recycled materials, supporting imaginative play and the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. The shows are approximately 25 minutes long and features recycled handmade puppets, singalongs, dance movements, and a 10 minute craft activity linked to the show. The shows are also designed to perform outdoors under some form of shelter or inside on the ground or stage area.
